RV LIFE – Monday, March 17, 2014

To continue, from Saturday, March 15th, I’m not exactly sure what all I wrote about without going back and reading it, so I’m just going to write…

We went through all of the cabinets, closets, and under storage and pulled everything out and took most of it into the house to be cleaned.

We wanted to see how the TV and DVD player worked, so we got comfy in our recliners and watched “Mama Mia”.  Tom’s choice!!  Go figure!  It’s such a fun movie.  In a way, a fitting movie to be our first movie watched in our new home since the story in the movie really does have to with following your dreams.  That is what we are doing.  Following our dream of having more time together, traveling and doing things that we love to do without being tied down to working all day – every day for someone else.

We had a pretty full day Saturday and Sunday was actually just as full.  Checking out systems and reading through the RV manual and all the appliance manuals.  We checked the burners on the stove and they work, although the #3 burner has a little trouble lighting.  It isn’t “sparking” like it should.  We also tried out the little portable Bissel vacuum cleaner and it isn’t too bad if the filter is clean.  The central vac system is pretty nice and works pretty well.  I didn’t try and see if it would reach all the way back to the bedroom or not.  It seems like it will though.  Tom was the first of us to “Christen” the bathroom – hahaha!

We had lunch in the Alpha although I didn’t cook it in there.  We just had grilled turkey burgers, with humus and crackers.

Tom took some pictures of the truck and the Alpha from the outside and along, with pictures I had of the inside, he posted them to Photobucket.
