RV LIFE – Friday, March 21, 2014

We haven’t done a whole lot with regards to the RV this week, but we did get a few things we need for it.  We ordered a surge protector for the outside electricity hook-up.  We also got some new “dog bone” converter plugs, some levels to put on the outside of the RV, some steel wool to put in and around crevices and slide rails to keep critters from getting in.

I also took the truck in, again to get the window fixed.  The motor that was ordered didn’t work, so I had to go back on Thursday.  Now it’s fixed.

Still no word from DMV or license plates or papers in the mail.  We actually did get a letter one day earlier this week from DMV that said they couldn’t complete the registration for the truck because they didn’t have customs papers.  However; the letter was dated March 10th and all of the papers were faxed to DMV on the 13th.  I called Jessica at DMV Technical Compliance the other day to verify everything was ok, and she said that it was and that we should disregard the letter.  She said that the paperwork for both vehicles had been cleared from Technical Compliance and were now in the Control Cashier Department.  I think I might try and call today and see if Jessica can find out a status update for me.

We took the two old 12v batteries out of the RV.  Tom just wants to get new ones.  I need to stop by the NAPA Store up here in Frazier Park to see if they have the batteries we need and how much they are.

We are so anxious to have our yard sales and to be able to tell people our plan.  Just gotta get everything finalized!!

Things always seem to come right down to the wire for us!  Yikes!!
