We got up and did our usual Saturday morning routine of coffee, computers, and cereal for a little while. Tom is sick with the cold that I’m still trying to get over, but he was still motivated to get the Alpha re-leveled the right way; to take all of the stuff out of the Alpha that came with it, and to take it in the house and see what we want to keep, will need, and to clean everything. Nothing is really “dirty”, but ya know, it’s just someone else’s cooties. Ha!! We also went to the dump. Since Tom wasn’t feeling well, I got to drive the truck to the dump.
Tom fiddled around with getting the wireless extender hooked up so we could use our wireless connection from the house.
He also checked out the systems for our batteries, propane, water, etc. I wrote the journal entry for yesterday’s adventure and today’s.
We started a list of things that we are going to need to get soon. A nice big level is one thing. Terry let us borrow his when we were leveling last night and we used it again today when we re-did the leveling.
Daisy seems to like our new home. She’s getting pretty good going up and down the steps. We are worried though that she might get one of her nails caught in them since they have small holes. When we were at Camping World a few weeks ago, we saw some little carpet things that wrap around each individual step. We need to get those.
Well, now that we have the rig in the yard, it’s time to get the purging started!! I need to finish painting the yard sale signs and start boxing up and categorizing things for sale and pricing things. We really have already started purging and selling things on eBay.
In a couple to about four weeks, when we know for sure all of the financing is done going through, we’ll have to start telling people about our plan because we’ll need to start seeing who wants what of the things we are getting rid of. We will be anxious to hear everyone calling us crazy – and NO one will believe that I can get rid of all my crap ~ well, not “all” ~ but most of it!! **wink**
