Travel Days Ahead of Us
It seems like we are always on the move, chasing sunshine, open roads, and the next great view and this leg of their journey is no exception.
After soaking up the warm, dusty charm of Quartzsite and Yuma, Arizona, it was time to roll on. Yuma and Quartzsite had delivered its usual mix of desert beauty, vibrant RV community energy, and endless skies, but as the season shifted, so did the call of the road. We packed up, said our “SEE YA’s” and pointed Itow and Talow northward again.
Our first stop brought us to Fort Mohave, where the landscape began to subtly change. The desert still stretched wide, but the nearby Colorado River added a refreshing contrast. It was a quieter pause, time to reset, restock, and spend a few days at a Boondockers Welcome spot.
Not long after, we made our way to Laughlin, Nevada, settling in at Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area. Nestled very close to the river, this spot offered a perfect blend of tranquility and scenery. Mornings greet us with calm water and soft desert light, while evenings brought colorful sunsets reflecting off the river’s surface. It was the kind of place that makes you linger just a little longer, if it wasn’t so darn hot! Temps are hovering in the low 100’s for highs!
But for us, the journey is always calling. With new destinations waiting and miles of road ahead, we are preparing to head north once again ready for whatever comes next in our RV life adventure.
