RV LIFE – Our Holiday Weekend Check Ins

And so it begins! We were pretty darn prepared and overall had a blast checking folks into the Toll Bridge Park Campground for the Memorial Day 3-day holiday weekend.

RV LIFE – Getting Ready/The Flying Squirrel!

Heading into our first big weekend as campground hosts! The Memorial Day Holiday Weekend traditionally kicks off the summer camping season. We were fully booked up, almost every site was reserved in advance and those 3 or 4 that were not, didn’t last long with the drive ups wanting a spot! Oh and we have a few squirrels around us having some fun too!

RV LIFE – Camphost Lori Makin’ ‘Rounds!

It’s not busy now, but come Memorial Day Weekend…we’ll be swamped for the rest of the summer! Here is Lori making the rounds as Camp-host of Toll Bridge County Park in Mt. Hood/Parkdale, Oregon.

RV LIFE – Camp-hosting at Toll Bridge County Park

And so it begins…our first camp-hosting job!  Thanks to our friends Bob and Kat, we were accepted to co-host with them this summer at Toll Bridge County Park, Mt. Hood/Parkdale, Oregon.  This will be the first video of our camp-hosting adventure this summer!

If you’re wondering what camp-hosting is about: A campground host is a volunteer who agrees to spend part or all of the year in a (National Forest) campground. A host helps other campers by answering questions, providing information about the local area, and acts as the “eyes and ears” for identifying problems when (Forest Service) employees are not present.
