By late May we made it to Ely, Nevada as we wanted to drive the loneliest road in the country, HWY 50 back to the Reno area.
We stayed 3 nights at the Prospector Hotel & Casino RV Park. It was $20.00 a night for full hookups. Lot’s of road noise, but we had some ‘work’ to get done, and we had 5 bars of Verizon + wifi, so all was good for a 3 night stop.
Remember as a kid, building a fort with a couple blankets and chairs? Well we went back to those days as we passed through the wonderful state of WINDY WYOMING! We encountered gusty winds to about 65 miles per hour (we DID pull over before they hit). But all in all, we had a blast! Hey gotta have some fun, right?
During our trip to see Tom’s son David in Colorado, his roommate raises snakes and geckos in a large portion of the basement in their house. Here’s a quick tour of his setup!
So in addition to repairing our slide topper the past week, we replaced the motor that controls our rear stabilizer jacks. We priced it out to have someone come by and do it for us (shocked at the cost!), jumped online and found the motor and BAM! We did it ourselves…again! And saved a bundle too!
