We met our friend Mike O’Malley for lunch in downtown Reno along the banks of the Truckee River, at a great Mexican restaurant, Bertha Miranda’s! Mmmm! Totally yummy! And yes, Tom really DID eat it all!
While staying at our home base, we work around the ‘farm’ for Lori’s sister & brother-in-law. We help with taking care of the animals, yard work and even building a “milking-shed” for the goats. It was a pretty windy day, so we turned the sound down on most of this, but you’ll see some of the work we do to off-set our stay on their property!
Since out front door does not have a window, we like to leave it open to let the light in…however in colder weather we needed to come up with an idea that would allow us to do just that. We covered our screen door with plastic! And now we have some sunshine all day long!
Plus, since we downsized to become part of this lifestyle, we have a new way to decorate for the holidays!
Our first snow! Got about 3-4″ overnight, so decided to get it swept off the slide toppers and roof as soon as we got up this morning! Sure didn’t want to chance any ice forming and causing damage…plus WE LOVE playing in the snow!
